Ashwat Rishi received his B.S. degree, summa cum laude, in Mechanical Engineering and B.A. degree, magna cum laude, in Economics from Rutgers University in 2009. He received his J.D. degree from Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law in 2014, where he was a recipient of the Monrad Paulson Scholarship.
While in law school, Mr. Rishi served as Staff Editor of the Cardozo Public Law, Policy & Ethics Journal, as a Judicial Intern for Judge Esther Salas in the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey, and as a Clinical Student Intern at the Kathryn O. Greenberg Immigration Justice Clinic. Prior to law school, he worked as a research assistant in energy policy.
Mr. Rishi is an active member of the South Asian Bar Association of New York, and is admitted to the New York State Bar and the U.S. District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York.
