Jeffrey specializes in intellectual property law, including patent, trademark and copyright litigation, prosecution, opinions, licensing, and due diligence support for corporate transactions. Jeffrey's litigation experience includes trial counsel in intellectual property cases, Markman hearings, summary judgment proceedings in patent, trademark copyright and unfair competition cases, settlement and licensing negotiations, and appellate proceedings before the Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit and other appellate courts. The technical fields in which he works include electrical and mechanical devices, electronic components and semiconductors, computer software and processing, wireless communications and telephony, optics and optical systems, gaming, electronic commerce and business methods, and medical devices and procedures. Jeffrey started his legal career at Cooper & Dunham in 1993. Prior to returning to the firm in 2012, he was a partner at an intellectual property law firm and an international general practice firm in Boston, as well as the Director of Intellectual Property for Barnes & Noble, Inc.
